RIGRMission Readiness.

A vendor-neutral edge decision layer designed to turn live sensor telemetry into a simple, explainable readiness picture for military working-dog teams operating where connectivity, attention and time are limited.

“Sensors measure. RIGR decides.”

Offline-firstDesigned to preserve decisions and evidence when the network disappears.
Vendor-neutralNormalized sensor ingestion keeps the decision layer independent of one hardware maker.
Evidence-readyProvenance, confidence, event history and export are built into the workflow.

The problem it attacks

Too much telemetry is still not a decision.

RIGR is built around the last tactical mile: ingest heterogeneous sensor inputs, establish what is normal for the individual dog, isolate questionable sources, and surface a simple handler-facing readiness state without turning the handler into a data analyst.

01 · Sensor fusion

Multiple signals. One operational picture.

Normalize live inputs, preserve source provenance and combine channel agreement, trust and trend into one readiness decision layer.

02 · Individual baseline

Compare the dog to itself.

Rolling baselines and drift logic are designed to make the system sensitive to meaningful change without pretending every dog has the same normal.

03 · Fault isolation

Bad data should not become a bad decision.

Source trust and redundant-input arbitration are designed to quarantine questionable telemetry rather than blindly average it into the answer.

04 · Edge operation

Mission logic survives comms loss.

Local-first operation, queueing and reconciliation keep the handler-facing loop available when cloud connectivity is unavailable.

05 · ATAK path

Designed for the screen already in the fight.

A transport boundary supports future ATAK plugin integration so readiness can live beside mission context instead of inside another standalone app.

06 · Evidence trail

Every state has a story.

Mission sessions, alerts, acknowledgement, source provenance and exports support after-action review and future technical validation.

Architecture

Hardware can change. The decision layer stays.

The prototype deliberately separates transport and device adapters from fusion, readiness logic and the handler UI. That keeps the system open to better sensors instead of locking the product to one vendor.

01 / INPUTWearable sensors

BLE / future field hardware · HR · respiration · temperature · motion · additional channels.

02 / EDGESensor service

Timestamp, normalize, track provenance, assess signal quality and survive intermittent connectivity.

03 / DECISIONRIGR fusion

Baseline, drift, trust, channel agreement, source arbitration and readiness state.

04 / USERHandler / ATAK

READY · WATCH · HOLD with glanceable status, alerts, mission context and after-action evidence.

Prototype status: RIGR is an R&D prototype and is not a clinically validated canine medical device, deployed Army capability, or replacement for veterinary care, handler judgment or unit SOP. Current demonstrations may include simulated telemetry; live hardware integration is being developed and tested separately.

Complex underneath.
Simple when it matters.

RIGR is a portfolio example of how Inselman Digital approaches difficult field software: isolate the real decision, build around unreliable environments, keep the architecture modular, and make the interface usable under pressure.
